Position SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated associate who will support Sam’s Club brand values and contribute to the overall success of the store. The position focuses on safe material handling, inventory stewardship, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, applying the Open Door Policy internally.
- Operate forklifts safely, picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to identify goals, deadlines, and expectations.
- Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, maintaining inventory flow and completing required paperwork.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, guiding support for self-service technology, helping with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting club products and services.
- Maintain the safety of the facility by conducting sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation, zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up displays, and ensuring modular integrity.
- Ensure club pick-up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging, ensuring products are selected per policy, and performing occasional accuracy audits.
- Handle moves and display goods safely, track inventory, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
- Operate and maintain forklifts, report unsafe conditions, and notify management if forklifts are not in working order.
- Proactively identify customers who need help, engage them, and assist with technology services and items.
- Identify shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and take steps to fix them.
- Maintain equipment and ensure products are organized, stocked correctly, and promptly repaired if needed.

- 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification.
- Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Customer service experience.
- Retail experience.
- Experience supervising a team.
