Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system setup
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation tasks
- Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Follow all safety procedures related to low voltage and high voltage electrical work, including NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Help with the installation of low voltage systems such as alarms, data cabling, and security systems
- Participate in site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Job is a 5-month contract

Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical principles gained through coursework or prior experience
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment like ohmmeters
- Experience or interest in industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical installations and safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail during wiring and troubleshooting tasks
- Willingness to learn about high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and construction site safety practices
