Lineman Lead – Transformer Installations & Crew Training

2802 North Frasier, Conroe, TX 77303 (must live within 40 miles)

Journeyman Lineman

• Make all types of transformer installations; do phasing and check rotation on circuits; trace and clear grounds and opens on series circuits.
• Do all classes of hot line tool work.
• Reeve blocks.
• Plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Check, handle and be responsible for all material removed from and returned to stock, and prepare reports and records.
• Act in leadership capacity as required.
• Direct work of assistants, instruct and train new employees.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents.
• Be willing and able to attend and take part in safety meetings.
• Be willing and able to work under unusual surroundings, as well as the normal working conditions pertaining to this job.
• Be willing and able to receive and transmit orders and instructions in a manner that inspires respect and confidence of both superiors and subordinates.
• Be especially neat, clean and orderly in work and person.
• Be willing and able to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner.
• Understand importance of always rendering and maintaining first class, courteous service to all customers.

High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years experience required.

As a condition of employment this position requires a pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam.
