Fire Alarm Helper Job Description:

• This is a highly functional role assisting supervisors with cross functional technical low voltage installations of fire alarm, audio visual intercoms, and telecommunications systems.

• Work in technology integration under mentorship to learn installation standards, construction trim out, technical wiring, TIA cabling standards, relay logic, and NFPA fire codes.

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans to determine device locations and cable pathways.

• Run speaker wires, structured cabling, fire alarm circuits, inside commercial buildings, trim out material on buildings under construction working under the supervision of a skilled mentor.

• Install intercom speakers, fire alarm devices including smoke detectors, siren/ strobes, pull stations, heat sensors, duct detectors, and relays.

• Verify system functionality through continuity checks, voltage testing, and basic troubleshooting procedures.

Basic Requirement:

• Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Experienced using pipe wrenches, cutting and threading.
