Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Residential HVAC Installation Technician to handle rough-in and trim work for home heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the north Houston / Conroe area. You'll install equipment and ductwork in new or existing residences, ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, ductwork, and thermostats.
- Perform both rough-in and trim installation phases.
- Read and follow residential blueprints, specifications, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, builders, and team members.
- Complete daily reports and installation documentation accurately and timely.
- Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with material handling, inventory, and job site preparation as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous residential HVAC installation experience.
- Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- EPA Certification.
- Experience with new construction and residential retrofit installations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Work is performed primarily at residential construction sites and occupied homes.
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.
- Frequent work in attics, crawl spaces, garages, and other confined areas.
- Exposure to dust, insulation, noise, and construction-related environments.
- May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or extended hours during peak seasons.
- Travel to job sites throughout Conroe and surrounding areas.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and HVAC installation equipment.
- Sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform job duties safely and effectively.
