Temp/Perm Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift – Conroe, TX
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems at site.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment and troubleshoot and repair.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
- Discuss machine operation variations with operators, supervisors, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or perform repairs.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical equipment, including 4‑20mA, 24
VAC, 90
VDC, single‑ and 3‑phase up to 480V, VFD, PLC, servo drive, encoder, proximity switch, and laser sensors. - Maintain the TPM program for factory equipment.
- Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed to limit downtime and production delays.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut and fabricate items.
- Coordinate material requisitions needed for each project.
- Follow all 5S practices, support lean activities, and adhere to safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Work to reduce equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, PLC, servo controls, temperature controls, and encoders.
- Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
- Facilitate the training of maintenance technicians.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
- Able to stand and work 10 hours a day.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Able to set up and operate basic, manual metal fabrication machines.
- Able to utilize calibrated precision measuring instruments.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Able to use precision measuring tools.
- Able to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- 1st shift:
Monday – Thursday, 5:00a.m. – 3:30p.m. - Overtime on Friday; open to working overtime as needed.
The hourly pay range for this role is $27.00 – $30.00 per hour, with potential for increase after proficiency in certain skills.
