Service Technician

GRASTEN TECHNOLOGIES BUYER LLC (Grasten Generators) seeks a Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial generator systems for mission-critical and standby power customers. In this field-based role, you'll perform start ups, load bank testing, preventive maintenance, and emergency diagnostics on diesel and gas generators, transfer switches, and related controls. You'll travel to diverse customer sites, ensure work is completed safely and to code, document findings, and communicate clearly with operators, facility teams, and dispatch to keep critical operations powered.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service industrial and commercial generator systems and related equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and load bank testing on diesel and gas generators and transfer switches.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control issues on generators and associated power equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders to plan and execute repairs safely.
• Document service activities, test results, parts used, and recommendations in service reports and internal systems.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while working on energized and rotating equipment.
• Communicate clearly with customers, dispatch, and internal teams regarding job status, findings, and next steps.
• Support emergency and after-hours response for critical power outages and unscheduled service calls as needed.
