  • Develop and manage cycle-counting and physical-inventory programs.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish and enforce FIFO, FEFO, lot-control, and product-rotation procedures.
  • Serve as the operational subject-matter expert for warehouse functions within the WMS and ERP systems.
  • Ensure receipts, transfers, picks, adjustments, returns, and shipments are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Monitor WMS and ERP exceptions, including negative inventory, incorrect locations, duplicate transactions, and unconfirmed movements.
  • Design and continuously improve warehouse layouts, location maps, slotting strategies, staging areas, pedestrian pathways, and material flow.
  • Maximize warehouse capacity, space utilization, location accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, carrier appointments, dock schedules, freight activity, and shipping documentation.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and develop warehouse employees.
  • Establish expectations for safety, attendance, productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and workplace conduct.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, forklift safety standards, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead 5S, Lean Manufacturing, visual-management, waste-reduction, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report warehouse KPIs, including safety, inventory accuracy, cycle-count completion, shipment accuracy, on-time delivery, FIFO compliance, and space utilization.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 10 years of warehouse, distribution, inventory, or logistics experience.
  • At least five years of supervisory or management experience leading warehouse teams.
  • Strong experience with inventory control, cycle counting, physical inventories, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Experience managing FIFO, FEFO, lot traceability, and inventory-rotation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of WMS and ERP systems.
  • Experience with warehouse layout, storage planning, location management, and inventory slotting.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, freight coordination, carrier management, and order fulfillment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements, powered industrial equipment, and warehouse safety practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and operational reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and employee-development skills.
  • Ability to work extended or nontraditional hours when operational needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, operations management, or a related field.
  • Experience in paper converting, consumer products, food-grade manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing, upgrading, or optimizing a WMS or ERP system.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S experience.
