Auto Electrician

Circa £39,000 + Overtime
Hours:
38 hours per week | 5 over 7
We are looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to join a busy PSV engineering team maintaining and repairing modern buses and coaches.
This is a great opportunity to work on a varied fleet in a safety‑critical environment where quality and reliability matter.
Key Responsibilities of the Auto Electrician- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on PSV (buses & coaches)
- Repair and replacement of wiring looms
- Working on CANbus systems
- CCTV, destination equipment & telematics systems
- Lighting systems, battery systems & charging faults
- Diagnosing multiplex electrical systems
- Supporting MOT preparation & vehicle inspections
- Working to DVSA standards
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician (PSV, HGV or commercial vehicles)
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Experience working with CANbus & multiplex systems
- Ability to read wiring diagrams
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Electrical Systems (desirable)
- Own tools
- Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence beneficial but not essential)
