1st Shift Transportation Manager (Customer Logistics Manager)

Location:

San Antonio, TX

Salary: $68,000 – $71,000 per annum, paid twice per month

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.

• Supervise equipment and driver compliance, ensuring DOT regulatory adherence.
• Partner closely with the Operations team to support daily logistics activities.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Shop team to ensure equipment readiness.
• Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple business groups.
• Lead a team of 120–130 commercial drivers, ensuring strong safety performance.
• Manage dispatch operations and develop daily load plans.
• Guide indirect reports (Supervisors), aligning workloads with operational needs.
• Champion key operational initiatives as assigned by leadership.
• Engage in customer service satisfaction and expectation management.
• Perform staffing, performance management, and development of exempt and non‑exempt employees.
• Manage day‑to‑day planning and scheduling.
• Oversee health and safety management and regulatory compliance.

• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production.

• High‑school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
• Minimum one (1) year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.

Salary range: $68,000 – $71,000. Position may be eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on level and type.
