At McDonald's, the General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and success of the restaurant. The General Manager is accountable for maintaining a profitable operation while consistently upholding McDonald's standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC). In addition, they are responsible for adhering to and enforcing all Acosta policies and procedures.

The General Manager develops, coaches, and leads a high-performing team committed to operational excellence and company values.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Brand Standards

* Ensure full compliance with all McDonald's policies, procedures, and brand standards

* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized restaurant at all times

* Deliver excellence in Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC)

* Ensure all equipment and facilities are properly maintained

* Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and consistency

2. Customer Service & Hospitality

* Delivers, models, and enforces outstanding customer service in accordance with McDonald's standards and procedures

* Work with demanding customers

* Resolve customer concerns promptly using established service recovery methods

* Ensure a positive experience for every customer visit

* Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements

3. Teamwork & Work Environment

* Must lead, coach, and work collaboratively with crew and other managers to meet daily operational goals

* Model and maintain respectful, friendly, and professional communication with all team members

* Foster and sustain a positive, high-performing, team-oriented work environment

* Follow all directions from the supervisor promptly and effectively

* Ability to prioritize and multitask

* Maintain and enforce a safe, respectful, and violence-free workplace by adhering to all company policies regarding workplace conduct

4. Dependability, Attendance, and Work Requirements

* Arrive to work on time and ready to work as scheduled

* Maintain and enforce consistent attendance and reliability

* Follow and enforce proper call-in procedures

* Maintain open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs

* Must work a minimum of 5 days per week, working 45 to 55 hours per week.

* Be accessible outside of scheduled shifts to provide guidance, answer questions, and respond to urgent operational issues, including reporting to the restaurant when necessary

5. Appearance & Professional Standards

* Ensure and enforce that all grooming, appearance, and personal hygiene standards are consistently met and upheld at all times

* Model and maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with company standards

6. Job Performance & Operations

* Ensures all McDonald's food products are prepared and served in full compliance with company standards for quality, consistency, and food safety

* Leads, models, and enforces operational excellence across all areas

* Drives a high-performance culture by demonstrating urgency, strong leadership presence, and a commitment to efficiency during all shifts

* Oversees and ensures strict adherence to company policies, including cash management, loss prevention, and safety protocols

* Maintains accountability for a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment

7. Quality, Safety & Profitability

* Ensures full compliance with food safety, quality, operational, safety, security, and cash-handling standards

* Holds team accountable for consistent product quality, preparation, and adherence to standards

* Maintains a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment for employees and customers

* Ensures adherence to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements; promptly addresses and reports incidents
