Yard Technician

Yard Technician – San Antonio, TX

Satellite Shelters, Inc. is looking for a Yard Technician in San Antonio to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety‑oriented, and a strong problem solver with excellent communication skills.

This position is responsible for the construction and repair of units in compliance with Satellite Shelter’s policies and procedures.

• Maintain yard organization and cleanliness
• Manage mobile office material inventory
• Organize, maintain, load & unload furniture (Satellite Specialty Products)
• Replace and adjust lighting, plumbing and electrical components
• Perform moderate carpentry work and repair
• Interface with customers at job sites
• Perform additional duties as assigned

No formal supervisory role.

• Self‑starter with ability to work independently and take initiative
• Problem‑solver
• Utility trailer experience
• Moderate carpentry and electrical experience
• Organized
• HVAC experience preferred but not required

• Wears personal protective equipment as required
• Can perform rigorous outside and indoor duties such as walking, standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, sitting, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity, etc.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Good fine motor skills, coordination, range of motion and grip strength
• Can work in all climate conditions and be exposed to loud noise levels
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Can work in an environment containing dirt, grease, and dust
• Can work safely around heavy machinery and equipment
• Can hold air impact tools up to 30lb

The pay range is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, Inc. reasonably expects to pay for this position.
