Job Overview
Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an Aerial Lineman to construct, maintain, and repair overhead power lines and telecommunication systems. This role involves working at heights, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of services.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain overhead electrical and telecommunication lines, cables, and associated equipment.
- Work with various types of conductors, transformers, insulators, and other line materials.
- Operate aerial lift devices (bucket trucks), digger derricks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform pole climbing and work at significant heights to access and repair infrastructure.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with overhead lines and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Participate in emergency call-outs and storm restoration efforts as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Proven experience as an Aerial Lineman, preferably within the utility or telecommunications industry.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to climb poles and work at heights for extended periods.
- Proficient in operating aerial lift devices, digger derricks, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform strenuous tasks.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
