Accounting Specialist
Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join a large, growing regional company in Conway, AR. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven accounting professional to play a key role in the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of cash accounts, general ledger accounts, and other related balance sheet items, while working closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support overall financial accuracy across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconcile cash accounts, general ledger accounts, and other related balance sheet accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Monitor activity in assigned accounts and post appropriate journal entries.
- Reconcile specific accounts, including outstanding checks, expense reimbursements, and interest-related transactions.
- Reconcile additional balance sheet accounts for monthly reporting
- Prepare and post entries related to interest-bearing accounts and investment vehicles, and track renewals and account activity on a recurring basis.
- Serve as backup for processing recurring financial transactions and related account activity.
- Serve as backup for maintaining rate and fee updates based on internal guidelines and communications from leadership.
- Upload account reconciliations into reconciliation software for storage and approval.
- Prepare weekly 401(k) and other employee benefit account contributions/wires and post related entries.
- Assist with acquisition or integration projects as they relate to accounting functions, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Communicate with internal departments and team members regarding general ledger issues and provide support in resolving discrepancies.
- Complete required compliance training as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is highly preferred
- Equivalent of 3+ years of accounting experience in a high-volume accounting department.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation and reporting.
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Proficiency with accounting/reconciliation software and financial systems.
- Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with internal teams and stakeholders.
