Career Placement Coordinator

Overview

The Career Placement Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the career development programs and services for students and alumni. This position involves providing individualized career counseling, organizing career-related events, and developing partnerships with employers to facilitate job placements and internships. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for helping students succeed, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic educational environment.

  Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience in career services, human resources, or a related area is advantageous.
• Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, employers, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with job placement software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain records.
  • Proficiency in career counseling techniques and knowledge of job market trends.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Professional use of social media platforms.

Minimum Salary or Salary Range: $38,000-$40,000

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded.
