Position Description

The Accounting Manager position with us in our Conway plant offers you an opportunity for meaningful value-added work in a collaborative learning environment along with the opportunity for professional growth. You will find the office to be both a positive and supportive work environment.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Estimating, the Accounting Manager is a key position in a small but dynamic and integrated finance team. As a self-motivated individual living in or within commuting distance of our office, you have efficient communication skills and enjoy being a team player focused on attention to detail. You are comfortable with and able to work well in a deadline-oriented environment, including the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of both finance and accounting processes, with a primary focus on the day-to-day accounting and financial management of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all financial and accounting activities for the plant.
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the local Accounting/Finance department.
  • Prepare annual forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report monthly actual results against the budget.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain the company's WIP schedule.
  • Manage monthly closing process including account reconciliations, account analysis, preparation of monthly financial statements and other management reports.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors on SOX compliance and documentation.
  • Develop inventory management procedures with the operations team.
  • Cash management and reporting.
  • Monitor / analyze production costs and communicate areas for improvement to management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in management
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting. Manufacturing or construction experience is preferred
  • CPA license is preferred but not a requirement
  • Proactive, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Experience with project tracking IT systems
  • SOX exposure is an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to system or procedural changes as they come up
Salary & Benefits
  • The salary for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 USD. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
