The Beautician is responsible for providing professional beauty services, including haircuts, styling, and other grooming services, to state employees, residents, or clients within a government facility. This role requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and strong customer service skills. A valid Arkansas cosmetology license is required to perform services in this capacity.

• Provide a wide range of beauty services, including haircutting, styling, coloring, and treatments based on client needs.
• Assist clients with hair care and maintenance, offering advice on suitable products, techniques, and styles.
• Maintain client records, documenting services provided, treatments, and future appointments.
• Perform scalp treatments, facials, and other beauty services as required, ensuring a high level of care and professionalism.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, creating a welcoming and respectful environment.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, offering professional advice and suggestions regarding their hair and beauty goals.

• Proficient in a variety of beauty services, such as haircutting, styling, coloring, and treatments for diverse client needs.
• Skilled with professional beauty equipment, including clippers, scissors, hair dryers, straighteners, and related tools.
• Knowledgeable about various beauty products, their benefits, and appropriate applications based on individual client needs.
• High attention to detail to ensure all services are accurate, safe, and meet client satisfaction.
• Ability to listen attentively to clients’ needs, provide appropriate recommendations, and deliver services that meet or exceed expectations.

Ability to read and write.

Must hold a valid Cosmetology license in the state of Arkansas. Other job‑related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
