The RBT Trainer will support the psychosocial and developmental needs of children through the execution of ABA services as directed by the BCBA. The RBT Trainer will also train, develop, and onboard new BT team members.
- The RBT works directly under the supervision of the BCBA.
- Participate in the implementation of the individualized Treatment Plan (ITP), created by the BCBA in collaboration with parents and therapists, to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
- Participate in implementing daily data collection.
- Participate in entering data collected and reports data to supervising BCBA.
- Assist in observational assessments with the BCBA, such as the ABC (antecedent behavior, consequence) log.
- Prepare for all sessions as directed by the skill acquisition program.
- Prepare and implement all materials needed for the skill acquisition program.
- Implement appropriate teaching procedures determined by the supervising BCBA.
- Implement interventions based on behavior modification determined by the supervising BCBA.
- Store all notes, data collection, graphs, and other protected information in a designated area in compliance with HIPAA.
- Maintain visual supervision of the child at all times. A child must NEVER be left unattended.
- Speak in a compassionate, pleasant, and caring voice to children, parents, and staff.
- Represent the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
- Maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment by ensuring that children are kept clean and toys and other materials are disinfected and put away each day.
- Display concern for the rights of children and families served by the clinic.
- Ensure confidentiality of children and employee information. Responds to internal and external requests for information according to clinic policy.
- Assist and coach new team members on writing daily treatment session notes.
- Provide and model RBT treatment in alignment to policies and procedures of Pediatrics Plus.
- Assist with and may complete BT/RBT interviews as needed.
- Organize and assist with onboarding of BTs/RBTs as directed by the ABA Team Leader or Director of ABA Services.
- Assist with and organize activities to promote the culture within the ABA team and among all teams at the site.
- Assist with group treatment and help supervise children during activities.
- Collaborate with BCBA, Administrative Team Lead, and Director of ABA Services to develop training schedule for onboarding new staff.
- Meet with new team member on day one for orientation, tour of building, and introduction to team members.
- Responsible for training new team members during the onboarding period.
- Provide any additional training to team members as directed by the BCBA or Director of ABA Services.
- May assist with competency assessments as assistant assessor when requested by supervising BCBA.
- Participate in annual performance reviews for professional development and growth.
- Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.
- Provide feedback to administration regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the ABA program.
