Job Description

Community Service Inc., (CSI), a leading provider of youth services in Arkansas, since 1958 is currently seeking a Program Coordinator for our Days Program located in our Conway Office. CSI is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation for mental health, day treatment, substance abuse treatment and therapeutic foster care.

The Day Service Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operation of the Day Service program, and providing QBHP services for all clients admitted into the Day Service program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with treatment team members, clients, and families for orientation when clients are approved for the program.
  • Assist with the orientation process, to educate referred client and his/her family on the Day Service Program and the individualized treatment plan goals related to the Day Service Program.
  • Supervise the clients enrolled in the Day Service program and coordinate services to meet the individualized treatment plan, and provide written documentation daily in the client’s case file.
  • Conduct Life Skills training and facilitate daily classroom services.
  • May assist the Office Manager with supervising student workers from area colleges and universities.
  • Coordinate with volunteer services from local civic groups and professional organizations to assist with special projects of the Day Service program.
  • Attend weekly scheduled CSI staff meetings and present information relative to each case, to assist in providing information for the clinical case plan review.
  • Ensure that each client enrolled understands the program rules and the daily schedule, and that clients and parents understand any changes or modifications.
  • Submit approved written progress reports as requested to Juvenile Court and communicate as needed with client’s juvenile probation officers.
  • Be available for crisis intervention to stabilize and mediate conflict resolution.
  • Provide transportation on an as needed basis.
  • Insure that clients receive emergency medical care and notify client’s family if medical emergencies arise.
  • Oversee enrollment of clients in individualized educational program and communicate with education instructor as needed regarding client’s progress in the educational component.
  • Engage in community outreach.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate activities and lesson plans. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and other professionals. Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions; organizational skills; ability to present facts and recommendations to individuals and groups; knowledge of the PEACE curriculum.
Must Possess valid driver's license, and must be able to operate agency vehicles.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related field. Experience in group dynamics and working knowledge of human behavior. Current QBHP certification , or obtain certification within 60 days of start date.
