Serve as the senior administrative executive accountable for safe, compliant, reliable, financially sustainable and strategically aligned hospital performance
Serve as designated Hospital Administrator for UAMS Health Benton/Bryant
Integrate the work required to operate a 24/7 community hospital in a highly matrixed environment
Partner with Health System, academic medical center, clinical, medical staff and service-line leaders to translate enterprise strategy into local execution
Own aggregate performance across quality, safety, operations, finance, workforce, patient experience, growth, regulatory readiness and enterprise priorities
Create and maintain a site scorecard and management cadence covering daily operations, weekly performance reviews and monthly executive accountability
Convene matrixed functions, establish operating priorities, require action plans and elevate unresolved conflicts
Provide executive and governing leadership with visibility into performance, risks, decisions and corrective actions
Oversee clinical operations, emergency department flow, admissions, bed placement, transfers, inpatient progression, discharge and procedural throughput
Integrate nursing, physicians and hospital support functions around a common daily operating plan
Use demand/capacity data, benchmarking and root-cause analysis to redesign workflows and sustain improvement
Share executive accountability for clinical quality, patient safety, infection prevention, mortality, readmissions, complaints and corrective action
Own administrative oversight of hospital licensure, accreditation readiness, CMS requirements, Joint Commission standards and governing‑body obligations
Oversee emergency preparedness, business continuity, incident command, drills, after‑action reviews and remediation
Develop and manage the hospital operating budget and performance plan
Manage labor productivity, staffing efficiency, premium labor, supplies, purchased services, contracts, revenue capture and operating variances
Develop and prioritize the site capital plan and execute approved projects within scope, schedule and budget
Build and lead a high‑performing site leadership team with accountabilities and succession plans
Partner on workforce planning, recruitment, retention, labor deployment, engagement, leadership development and performance management
Translate health system, academic department and service‑line strategy into executable site plans
Partner on physician recruitment, program development, access, referrals, transfers, procedural capacity and market growth
Champion disciplined innovation using analytics, automation, digital workflows, virtual care and responsibly governed AI‑Enabled tools
Integrate the community hospital with the academic medical center enterprise through referrals, transfers, service‑line support, faculty participation, learners and shared resources
Oversee patient experience, complaints, grievances, service recovery and operational systems affecting patients and families
Represent the hospital with referring providers, community leaders, partners and stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Master's degree in healthcare administration (MHA), business administration (MBA), public health (MPH), health services administration or a closely related discipline required
An equivalent advanced professional degree may be considered when paired with substantial executive hospital operating experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including meaningful acute‑care hospital operations responsibility
