Social Services Director Butler Rehab and Healthcare Center Independence, Missouri Join Our Team!

Butler Rehab and Healthcare Center, a leading provider of healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Director to lead our social services team. As a Social Services Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the mental and psycho-social well-being of our residents.

• Monitor the resident's mental and psycho-social needs and provide services to meet these needs

• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific developmental factors in directing the overall operation of the facility's delivery of care

• Participate in the pre-admission screening of all potential residents and provide information to residents and families during admissions

• Coordinate and review behavior charting to ensure an effective plan of care is implemented

• Provide therapeutic counseling to residents and family members to meet psych-social needs

• Degree in Social Services or related field (or relevant professional experience to the position)

• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job

• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required

• Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care

• Possesses good communication skills and is patient and self-disciplined
