Analytics Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer II to join its Information Technology team in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain enterprise analytics solutions that support reporting, operational decision-making, and regulatory requirements across the organization.

• Design, build, and maintain analytics-ready data models using dbt
• Develop and optimize SQL transformations within cloud-based data environments
• Create and maintain data quality tests, validation processes, and monitoring solutions
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data products
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across upstream and downstream systems
• Document data models, definitions, and lineage to support governance and transparency
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on data ingestion, pipeline development, and deployment processes
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support and mentor junior team members through knowledge sharing and collaboration

• 3–6 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dbt models
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, AWS, or similar environments
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data lifecycle management
• Experience with Git, Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops, or similar source control tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
