Opportunity

As the executive leader of the Water Market, you will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening existing client relationships, expanding market presence, and building a scalable organization capable of delivering complex water and wastewater projects across the region.

You will partner closely with executive leadership to define market strategy, pursue major opportunities, recruit top talent, and establish the operational framework necessary to support sustained growth.

This role is ideal for a leader who wants the autonomy and influence of building a business while leveraging the resources of an established, highly respected contractor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall growth strategy for the Water & Wastewater business unit.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business plans focused on market expansion and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with municipalities, utilities, engineering firms, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue major treatment plant, pump station, conveyance, and water infrastructure opportunities.
  • Partner with preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership to develop winning project strategies.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing construction, project management, and business development teams.
  • Establish market positioning, client engagement strategies, and long-term pursuit plans.
  • Provide leadership across project delivery, operational performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Support strategic partnerships, alternative delivery pursuits, and design-build opportunities.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, operational excellence, safety, and profitable growth.
  • Serve as the executive face of the water business both internally and externally.
Ideal Background

  • Water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Pump stations and conveyance systems
  • Design-build and alternative delivery projects

Qualifications
  • Proven executive leadership experience within the water, wastewater, or heavy civil construction industry.

  • Strong network of relationships within the municipal water infrastructure industry.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale project portfolios and operational teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Ability to attract, mentor, and develop leadership teams.
  • Strong financial, operational, and business development acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
