Packer - 3rd Shift

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Packer to work from our manufacturing facility located in Wilkes-Barre, PA on 3rd Shift.

As a Packer, this candidate will be responsible for packing chips in boxes and bags, inspecting the quality of chips, and working Monday‑Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

• Packs bags of chips into cartons, assembles cartons, applies stickers, and packs cases according to specifications while verifying the package quality of finished product.
• Inspects quality of chips and chip packages, examines seasoning after packaging, matches product codes, and verifies weight.
• Repackages product merchandise into cartons on sack/tray lines.
• Loads boxes of packaged chips onto skids.
• Performs tasks to assist the packaging flow such as applying stickers, preparing boxes to be packed, hand‑picking chips, and providing lunch and work breaks.
• Responsible for quality and food‑safety tasks within the position.

• Basic reading and math skills.
• Knowledge of product quality and basic operations acquired through three months of training.
• Standing required 100% of the time.
• Ability to communicate production issues to coworkers and supervisors.
• English proficiency required.
• Spanish proficiency highly preferred.
