Position Summary

UCA invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, on-campus Clinical Instructor I (faculty) position. Job Duties and Responsibilities

This non-tenure track position focuses on teaching didactic, clinical, simulation and laboratory courses. The faculty member will facilitate student learning, engage in scholarship/practice, and provide service at the institutional and professional levels.

Required

Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Unencumbered RN license.
  • Clinical and/or teaching experience in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and/or Community Health. Candidates with other clinical specialties will be considered.
  • Possible workload assignments:
    Health Policy and Informatics.
Clinical Requirements
  • MMR (2 vaccines or a positive titer).
  • Varicella (2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer).
  • Hepatitis B (2 part series or positive surface antibodies above 10).
  • Tdap (must be received within the last 10 years).
  • TB (Initial testing: IGRA or TST for persons without documented prior testing, TB disease or latent TB infection. Retesting:
    No annual retest or routine serial testing at any interval after baseline in the absence of a known exposure or ongoing transmission is required).
  • Influenza vaccine (annually).
  • Current CPR certification BLS from American Health Association.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Educational preparation as a nurse educator or experience teaching at the baccalaureate level.
  • Experience with learning management systems and/or online teaching at the baccalaureate or higher degree.
  • Experience with simulation teaching at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • Education or experience in Psychiatric Mental Health and/or Community Health Nursing. Candidates with clinical experience(s) in other nursing areas will be considered.
License

Licensed as an RN in Arkansas.
