What You'll Do

As a Title Agent, you'll play a key role in ensuring residential and commercial real estate transactions have clear, marketable title. Working closely with Closing Agents, Escrow teams, underwriters, and attorneys, you'll examine title records, identify and resolve title issues, prepare title commitments and policies, and help ensure every transaction is completed accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Perform title searches by examining public records, legal documents, deeds, plats, easements, and other recorded instruments
  • Determine property ownership and identify liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, and other title matters
  • Research and assist in resolving title defects and curative issues prior to closing
  • Prepare and issue title commitments, title insurance policies, endorsements, and related documents
  • Review title commitments and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines
  • Coordinate with underwriters and escrow teams throughout the closing process
  • Communicate title requirements, findings, and outstanding items clearly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate transaction files
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriting requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the title and closing process
  • Support team members and perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in producing accurate work, and understands the importance of protecting property ownership through careful title examination.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in title insurance, title examination, escrow, real estate, or a related field preferred
  • Title Agent license or ability to get licensed as required by state law
  • Strong understanding of title insurance principles and real estate terminology
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to title insurance and real estate transactions
  • Proficiency with title production software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Note:

Previous title examination, title insurance, escrow, underwriting, or real estate experience is preferred. Candidates with transferable experience and a strong desire to continue growing within the title industry are encouraged to apply.
