Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to join our Conway, Arkansas, operation.
This position is responsible for operating a Class A tractor-trailer with an end dump trailer and shuttling loads from our facility to a designated outlet for disposal. The driver will complete multiple runs throughout each shift while maintaining production schedules and complying with all company, DOT, and FMCSA safety requirements.
The ideal candidate has commercial driving experience, understands the safe operation of end dump equipment, and can work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer equipped with an end dump trailer.
- Shuttle end dump loads from the facility to a designated outlet for disposal.
- Complete multiple shuttle runs each day while supporting production schedules.
- Safely unload materials at the designated disposal outlet.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer.
- Raise, lower, and operate end dump equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify load weights and comply with all applicable DOT weight restrictions.
- Complete required DOT logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch and operations regarding route conditions, delays, and production needs.
- Immediately report mechanical problems, accidents, spills, equipment damage, and safety concerns.
- Keep assigned equipment clean and promptly report maintenance needs.
- Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Assist with additional transportation or operational responsibilities as assigned.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to pass a background screening, when required
Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations - Ability to safely operate manual or automatic transmission vehicles, depending on equipment requirements
- Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and follow established safety procedures
- Previous experience operating end dump trailers
- Experience hauling bulk materials, waste, compost, construction debris, agricultural products, or similar materials
- Experience working in industrial, recycling, landfill, agricultural, or construction environments
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices, GPS navigation systems, and mobile applications
- Heavy-equipment or material-handling experience
