Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position:
Test Center Administrator in the Academic Testing Center
.
Providing a broad spectrum of testing services to both the University and communities in a convenient, secure and professional environment. Must be certified as required by each testing company and maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing requirements. Observes University, state/federal, and test agency policies and procedures for security/confidentiality of testing records, including adherence to FERPA as related to CCU and testing services, to maintain integrity of the ATC.

- High school diploma or equivalent GED and two (2) years of experience in a professional office setting.
- Six (6) months of experience in standardized testing, working with scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Certifications for administering exams from professional testing companies, including ATI/TEAS, ETS/Prometric, Pearson Vue, PSI, PAN, Kryterion, Meazure Learning, Prov, and CLEP.
- Academic Testing Center daily operations:
Ensures compliance of all testing companies’ regulations, policies, and procedures; administers exams, including identification checks, paperwork, and exam administrations; monitors simultaneous activities and takes action if any technical or security issue arises; reviews operational procedures periodically; maintains up-to-date knowledge of exam and company policies/procedures. - Customer Service:
Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents via in‑person, phone, and email; handles all constituent needs in a professional, timely, and positive manner. - Part‑time staff oversight:
Provides assistance in training, mentoring, and proctoring by ATC part‑time staff; ensures testing security, check‑in protocols and all testing company regulations are adhered to by all staff.
- Time‑limited position with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Normal work hours vary Monday through Saturday. The position will serve 37.5 hours/week and requires flexibility to meet the university’s special scheduling needs.

Requires handling confidential materials and personal information; requires handling multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions. Must be able to quickly prioritize tasks, understand written and spoken instructions, and adhere to established procedures of the office and testing sponsors and companies. Must be adaptable in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service and high‑stress situations, maintaining security requirements, prioritizing competing tasks, technical issues with software and hardware, and maintaining confidentiality of candidate and exam information.
Must also stay up to date with policies and procedures to have knowledge on demand from all testing companies and exam sponsors. Requires speaking frequently throughout the day, communicating verbally with customers and instructions, responding to inquiries, and writing reports to document any incidents that occur during a testing session. Must clean and sanitize workstations, headsets, exam supplements, and use cleaning products.
Must remain stationary for long periods to monitor candidates via security cameras, move around the office and through rooms to perform walk‑through observations, and transport and replace computer equipment to and from testing stations if necessary.
