Test Center Administrator
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the role of Test Center Administrator in the Academic Testing Center.
OverviewProviding a broad spectrum of testing services to both the University and surrounding communities in a convenient, secure, and professional environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all testing company regulations, policies, and procedures when testing candidates.
- Administer exams, including identification checks, paperwork, and exam administration.
- Monitor simultaneous activities and take action if any technical or security issues arise.
- Periodically review operational procedures to maintain up-to-date knowledge of exam and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, students, visitors, and the community via in‑person, phone, and email.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and proctoring part‑time staff; ensure adherence to testing security and check‑in protocols.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the university’s special testing needs; work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum two (2) years of professional office experience.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in standardized testing, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Certifications for administering exams from professional testing companies (ATI/TEAS, ETS/Prometric, Pearson Vue, PSI, PAN, Kryterion, Meazure Learning, Prov, CLEP, etc.).
- Strong observational, listening, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Proficient computer knowledge and ability to meet yearly certification requirements.
- Outstanding customer service, critical thinking, written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail, self‑motivated, independent, and results‑oriented.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
- Physical ability to sit for long periods, stand, move around, and manage equipment.
Involves handling confidential materials, multitasking with frequent interruptions, maintaining security, responding to customer inquiries, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, monitoring candidates via security cameras, moving equipment, operating computer and peripheral equipment, and maintaining up‑to‑date testing policies.
