Job SummaryAssist the Coordinator of Attendance in the overall operation of department.
Essential Duties- Provide secretarial assistance to Coordinator of Attendance.
- Assist with the maintenance of databases, and the construction of queries and mail merge documents.
- Utilize the computer extensively for word processing, database, spreadsheet, and student management systems.
- Generate queries and reports for distribution to administration, state and /or school personnel.
- Manage attendance office operations including problem solving, time planning, attention to detail, organization, timely filing, ordering of supplies, etc.
- Assist with truancy identification and interventions.
- Organize files in preparation for Truancy Meetings.
- Scheduling for Interventionist and the coordinator.
- Assist with training data quality and attendance clerks in areas of attendance and truancy.
Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Coordinator of Attendance.
Job SpecificationsPerformance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
Minimum Qualifications- HS Diploma/GED required. Associate's degree preferred, but not required.
- Previous clerical (2 years minimum) in a people-oriented endorsement.
- A working knowledge of family court system and court documents strongly preferred including demonstrated success with conflict resolution.
- Strong communication experience working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-tasking.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude necessary to learn state and district software applications.
- Working knowledge of Student information System preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google.
- Good organization skills and ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality or information.

- Physically capable of frequently lifting or moving up to 40 pounds.

- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity for the purpose of using a telephone and data entry.
- Read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; and
- Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone.
