SCHEDULE & COVERAGE:- Minimum of120 hoursper month, with the opportunity to workadditionalshifts if desiredno cap on monthly shifts, and all are paid at the same rate
- 12-hour and 10-hour shifts available(6:30a-4:30p, 10a-10p, 4:30p-2:30a)
- Main ED staffed daily with 4-5 physicians and 2-4+ APPs
- APPs with PIT (Provider in Triage) coverage
- The FSEDs will be staffed according to volume
- 1.5+/- PPH in the main ED
- LWBS under 1%
- No call responsibilities arerequiredfor this position
- Main ED: 42 beds with dedicated high-acuity, moderate, and less-acute zones.
- FSED #1 (Opening 2026): 12 beds with full lab, X-ray, CT, and ultrasound capabilities.
- FSED #2 (Opening late 2026/early 2027): 8 beds with full lab, X-ray, CT, and ultrasound capabilitieswill be attached to our Health Plaza South location in Socastee, which is a multispecialty facility in a growing community.
- Technology:
Cerner EMR with Dragon Dictation for efficient charting. - Specialist Access:
The ED operates with a closed ICU supported by intensivists in-house 24/7. Surgicalists are available on-call to assist in the ED as needed. - CMC is a Chest Pain Center with a dedicated STEMI program and 24/7 interventional cardiology services. Established STEMI alert protocols ensure rapid response to cardiac emergencies.
- Opportunities to mentor residents and medical students during clinical shifts are available for APPs passionate about teaching and education.
- Level III Trauma Center
- 50,000 annual ER visits
- Low Transfer Rate: ~2%
- Common transfers include cases requiring neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic trauma, transplant care, or pediatric ICU services. Transfers are facilitated through a seamless call-center process with tertiary care facilities.
