The Graduate Assistant (GA) for Student Organization Financial Development & Entrepreneurship supports the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership by developing educational initiatives that strengthen student organizations’ financial sustainability, entrepreneurial thinking, fundraising capacity, and responsible business practices. The GA will lead the development of resources, training programs, and technology that help organizations safely generate revenue while understanding financial and legal responsibilities.
The GA role is a 20 hour per week role focused on student leader development through four primary focus areas:
Develop programs and educational resources that teach student organizations how to create sustainable funding models beyond traditional university allocations.2. Student Organization Marketplace Development
- Lead the planning and implementation of an online marketplace that allows registered student organizations to sell approved merchandise and products.
- Develop educational programming that strengthens financial management skills among organization officers.
- Develop educational materials that help student leaders understand legal and financial responsibilities associated with fundraising and business activities.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Acceptance into or current enrollment in 6-9 credit hours in a graduate program at Coastal Carolina University
- Enrollment in a Master of Business Administration ( MBA ) program
- Interest in entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, finance, or marketing
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and campus partners
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, budgeting, or small business operations
