Responsibilities
Discharge Nurse full-time, M-F 9am-5pm
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, located near beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from a chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or are in need of rehabilitation. Lighthouse offers 24‑hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services.
The Discharge Nurse provides professional nursing care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lighthouse Behavioral Health System. The Discharge Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice, as coordinated by the Director of Nursing and Director of Clinical Services. The primary duties of the Discharge Nurse are to assist in discharge flow process on all units.
- Discharge nurse will walk patient through discharge process, i.e paperwork, financial paperwork, follow‑up care, appointments etc.

- 2–3 years of Nursing experience preferred.
- Current license in good standing in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- CPI Certification preferred.
