Responsibilities

The Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Admissions Department to join our team.

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital
, located near Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from a chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or are in need of rehabilitation. Lighthouse offers 24-hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services.

Primary responsibilities include performing assessments and contraband searches before patient transfer to their designated unit; communicating nursing hand-off information to the Nursing department; assisting during downtime with making referrals to in-house physicians to assess qualification for admission; and providing a resource to handle overflow intake referrals to minimize loss of referrals. Monitor intake flow via dashboard.

The following are job requirements for the position of Admission Registered Nurse:

• Current license to practice nursing in South Carolina (or eligible to receive or renew - Compact)
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Preferred 1-3 years of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting
• CPI Certification preferred
