Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry Nurse for night shift coverage. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care within a hospital setting, monitoring adult patients on a telemetry unit and floating as needed to other medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a telemetry and medical-surgical environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac status using telemetry equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform other clinical duties with primary IV skills.
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
• Float within hospital units and to affiliate facilities as required, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid SC nursing license; license verification required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience, with float pool experience preferred.
• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and experience with diagnosis-related patient care.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing a patient/nurse ratio of 1:6 to 1:7.
• Flexibility to work self-scheduled shifts with blocked scheduling preferred.
