Overview
Position Summary...
Responsibilities- Directs and guides management and hourly associates on customer service approaches and techniques by modeling excellent customer service and teaching problem resolution within company guidelines and standards; builds relationships to ensure feedback, answers questions, and resolves customer and associate issues.
- Drives and monitors the facility’s financial performance by confirming budgeted sales, wages, and expenses are achieved; assists the store manager in leading the management team to control expenses and align them with sales; creates and implements plans to improve financial performance; develops budgets aligned with business needs and analyzes economic trends and community needs for forecasting.
- Participates in community outreach programs and supports associates in serving the community by building relationships with key community groups and representing the company in external organizations, following media guidelines and promoting company programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
- Directs facility operations by setting appropriate service levels, developing effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signage, inventory levels, and ensuring in-stock conditions; provides direction on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives and oversees safety and quality assurance and reviews.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, setting clear expectations, recognizing performance, delegating objectives, and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and growth goals.
- Drives the execution of multiple business plans by identifying customer and operational needs, communicating priorities, removing barriers, allocating resources, measuring performance, and adjusting plans; develops contingency plans and supports continuous learning and adaptability.
- Fosters a team-based environment by selecting and training staff, assigning duties, establishing performance expectations, conducting regular evaluations, providing recognition, coaching for success, and promoting a sense of belonging.
- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, integrity, and Open Door Policy; evaluates ongoing plans and initiatives, solicits feedback from stakeholders, and participates in community outreach to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Creates a respectful workplace by embracing differences, building trust, communicating with energy and positivity, and attracting and retaining top talent; models integrity, accountability, and a customer-first mindset across the organization.
