Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$12.00 to $14.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates to work in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate must be proficient with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls following company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details regarding the commission incentive plan will be provided during the interview.
