Video/Tech In Charge
- Technician In Charge Positions Pay Each Week
- Hourly Pay: $35.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
- Sign‑On Bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Monday through Friday, Weekends Off - Hours:
Second Shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Requirements- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree, or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tool knowledge (required)
- Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work), diagnostics and repairs (AC, electrical systems), and advanced skilled level repairs (major engine repairs, diesel aftertreatment or automotive fuel injection repairs) (required)
- Four (4) years or more of relevant work experience (preferred)
- Must be able to read codes and instructions on the computer
- Computer proficiency:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet, and related programs - Maintenance computerized programs to create reports or communicate with customers, vendors and company representatives
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- All other certifications as required by location (required)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet Ryder’s driving qualifications
- Must meet minimum Tech II up to Tech IV qualifications plus at least 6 months supervisory or training experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, holidays, and on‑call rotations for roadside assistance
- Proficiency in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery and employee handbook
- Thorough understanding of unit utilization procedures
- Will drive Ryder vehicles; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Must pass a Ryder drug test
- Must pass a DOT physical
- Must pass a Ryder road test
- Must pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 6 months in their current position and possess a record of good performance, attendance, safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities- Assist and train Technicians as needed, provide customer service to daily customers, and give feedback to the Service Manager on employee performance for appraisal or disciplinary purposes.
- May oversee parts distribution & inventory, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll administration and other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
