Video/Tech In Charge
- Technician In Charge Positions Pay Each Week
- Hourly Pay: $35.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained (up to $700)
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 per quarter (four times per year)
- Sign On Bonus: $2,500 after 30 days and $2,500 after 90 days
- Monday through Friday, weekends off
- Second Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Ability to read codes and instructions on the computer
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and related applications - Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays and on‑call rotations for roadside assistance
- Proficient in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery and employee handbook
- Understanding of unit utilization procedures
- Must obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire (if not currently licensed)
- Pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder background & motor vehicle check
- Must meet minimum Tech II up to Tech IV qualifications plus a minimum of 6 months supervisory or training experience
- Must have a thorough understanding of SMO, SBT, payroll, warranty recovery and employee handbook
- Resources:
Ability to drive Ryder vehicles and fulfill all required screenings (employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, background requirements)
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months in their current position and possess a record of good performance, attendance, safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities- Assist and train technicians as needed, providing customer service to daily customers.
- Give feedback to the Service Manager on employee performance for appraisal or disciplinary purposes.
- Oversee parts distribution & inventory, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll administration and other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
