Maintenance Worker, Heavy Equipment Operator, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
Duties For This Position
Under general supervision, operates a variety of types of small equipment, machinery, and tools in order to perform maintenance and construction of stormwater drainage systems, including drainage ditches, maintenance ways, pipes, and boxes. May work around heavy equipment and perform traffic control as needed. Small equipment may consist of, but is not limited to, weed eaters, chainsaws, water pumps, and wood chippers.
PositionMinimum Requirements
High School education, with one to two years of experience in various forms of construction or physical labor. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass the required pre-employment physical and background check.
Additional Requirements:
- Skilled in operating multiple pieces of equipment as assigned, including weed eaters, chain saws, water pumps, and wood chippers.
- Perform traffic control; some knowledge of SCDOT requirements is a plus.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Performs other related duties as required/assigned
