JOB GOAL: To provide clerical services for the school office.

REPORTS TO:
Principal


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling, mathematics, and office practices.
3. Ability to work well with the public and others, both in person and over the phone.
4. General computer and office machine proficiency.
5. Physical demands - must be able to stand, sit, and walk the majority of the day; lift and carry twenty (20) to thirty (30) pounds frequently. Job also requires some bending and stooping.

JOB DUTIES:
1. Is present at work everyday and arrives at the assigned time.
2. Demonstrates an attitude and demeanor that contribute to an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill in the work place.
3. Greets and assists visitors, parents, students, and staff.
4. Answers and directs all incoming phone calls, handling the duties created by such.
5. Supervises all student attendance. Creates attendance bulletin in computer.
6. Administers medicine to students as directed by parents; maintains first aid supplies. (Performed when nurse is absent.)
7. Performs various clerical duties such as copying, typing, filing, and manages the organization of information, as assigned. Distributes mail.
8. Assists with obtaining substitute teachers.
9. Coordinates and maintains school calendar; coordinates use of building for outside activities.
10. Completes work orders for repairs and general maintenance.
11. Updates and maintains emergency call list and other employee information.
12. Assists with special needs of students (i.e. sickness, first aid, absenteeism, and emotional needs, as needed).
13. Attends approved training sessions, staff development activities, and required meetings.
14. Complies with all requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse, illegal harassment, or any criminal activity for which the employee becomes aware.
15. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
