Position Summary:

Seeking Boiler Operators to support the safe and efficient operation of power generation and steam production equipment. These openings are available at both the Junior and Senior levels and will be responsible for operating boiler systems, emissions control equipment, and a 9 MW steam turbine generator. The ideal candidates will have power plant or control room experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate boiler systems, emissions control equipment, and steam turbine generators.
• Perform routine testing, including boiler water chemistry analysis.
• Conduct minor mechanical maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, reports, work orders, and production records.
• Support plant safety initiatives and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
• Assist with daily operations and support continuous, reliable power and steam production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of power plant, utility, industrial boiler, or control room operations experience.
• Experience with boiler water chemistry analysis.
• Ability to operate valves, switches, controls, and related plant equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts on a DuPont schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating fluidized bed boilers or similar industrial boiler systems.
• Experience with solid fuel-fired boiler operations.
• Heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience with emissions control systems and steam turbine generators.
• Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, rigging equipment, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
