We are seeking a motivated R&D Engineer to develop diagnostic solutions to improve the customer’s experience with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.

• Research and develop innovative designs and control schemes to optimize the performance of commercial and industrial CO2 refrigeration systems
• Develop control algorithms to improve the quality and reliability of the CO2 systems
• Model and experimentally validate the proposed solutions
• Collaborate with the Controls team to implement the proposed solutions

• Ten years of experience developing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
• Five years of experience developing R744-based refrigeration and heat pump systems
• One year of experience developing related diagnostic solutions
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering

• Strong academic background in thermodynamics and heat transfer
• Experience with system modeling software, e.g. Python, Matlab
• Experience with design test rigs and experimental validation

• Knowledge of controls theory
• Experience with AI machine learning
