We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Survey Drafter to join our professional surveying team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate survey drawings, plats, maps, and related documents using CAD software while working closely with survey crews, project managers, and clients.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, construction staking, subdivision plats, and utility mapping.
Responsibilities- Prepare survey drawings, plats, exhibits, and maps from field-collected data.
- Process survey data and create accurate CAD deliverables.
- Draft boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, easement exhibits, and legal descriptions.
- Maintain drafting standards and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with field crews and project managers to resolve discrepancies and ensure project accuracy.
- Organize and manage digital survey files and project documentation.
- Assist with deed research, record plat review, and property information gathering as needed.
- Support project schedules and meet established deadlines.
- Minimum of 2 years of survey drafting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, Micro Station, or similar surveying software.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, boundary calculations, and mapping standards.
- Ability to interpret deeds, plats, legal descriptions, and survey field notes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
