Collections Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Collections Specialist to coordinate invoice collection and resolve any issues with accounts. This role requires working independently across various locations to ensure customers adhere to terms and expectations, while achieving targeted collection goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Review the status of delinquent accounts and initiate collection actions based on due dates and dollar values.
- Analyze customer pay practices and recommend actions on delinquent accounts.
- Improve receivable turnover through efficient collection efforts and customer follow-up.
- Coordinate collection efforts with branches and sales representatives.
- Discuss financial developments or changes discovered during routine collections.
- Maintain favorable customer relations and provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Essential Skills
- Experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- 1 to 2 years of prior collection and customer service experience.
- Basic understanding of finance policies.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred.
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite, working five days a week in the Conyers office from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The office environment consists of closely placed cubicles, with approximately 15 people working in the Conyers office. The office is adjacent to a warehouse, and this role will be the eighth person on the team reporting to the Senior Manager of Credit Services.
The workplace culture is stable, with low turnover.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
