Field Support Specialist II (North Central US Region)

Provides startup, troubleshooting and end user training for lighting control systems. Can read lighting and floor plans and interpret specifications to ensure system installations match the plans and meet the end user's expectations. Has sufficient expertise to handle complex jobs and work with both internal and external stakeholders to address concerns and drive project completion.
Key Responsibilities- Perform onsite lighting and control startup, troubleshooting and end user training | 55%
- Provide expert support for both internal and external customers as it pertains to field applications of product | 30%
- Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide differentiated service | 10%
- Provide engineering support and communicate cross-functionally with other departments. | 5%
- Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Working general computer skills, including e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing, and data entry
- Strong communication, both written and oral
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Understanding of basic electrical components (relays, drivers, ballasts, etc.)
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of lighting control systems
- This is a remote role with 90% travel from Monday to Friday, allowing weekends at home
- Ideally, candidates should reside in the North Central region of the U.S., as most travel will occur within this area (Detroit, Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, etc.)
The range for this position is $41,600.00 to $89,500.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401K benefits, and commissions/incentive compensation depending on the role.
