2nd Shift Shipping Lead:
Orchestrate the Flow of Success
Are you a disciplined leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have the tactical mindset to manage complex logistics while inspiring a team? We are looking for a 2nd Shift Shipping Lead to take command of our warehouse operations, ensuring our products reach our customers with precision, efficiency, and speed.
As the Shipping Lead, you aren’t just moving boxes; you are the final checkpoint of our quality promise. You will bridge the gap between production and the customer, optimizing resources and leading a crew of skilled operators to victory every single shift.
What You’ll Do (The Mission)- Lead with Impact:
Direct and mentor forklift operators, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and high performance. - Strategic Scheduling:
Mastermind the most cost-effective and time-efficient delivery schedules without ever compromising on customer expectations. - Operational Excellence:
Manage the "Shift Handover"—conducting seamless briefings with incoming supervisors to eliminate errors and maintain momentum. - Inventory Command:
Take full ownership of warehouse management, including inventory audits, stock levels, and maintenance oversight. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the vital link between the warehouse and Customer Service to ensure our clients are always in the loop and satisfied.
- Leadership Pedigree:
You have a proven track record as a leader. (Military veterans with first-line supervisor experience are highly encouraged to apply!) - Technical Expertise:
You are a qualified Forklift or Clamp Operator with a sharp eye for detail (and a fast hand with a tape measure). - Industry Knowledge:
Experience in the Paper Mill industry is a major plus. - Communication
Skills:
You can speak and write clearly in English, ensuring instructions are understood and bills of lading are perfect. - Education:
An Associate’s Degree is preferred, but your "boots on the ground" experience is what truly matters.
Physical Requirements
This is a hands‑on leadership role in a dynamic, high‑energy industrial setting. You should be comfortable:
- Being on your feet and active throughout the shift (walking, standing, stooping).
- Working around moving mechanical parts in a loud, productive environment.
- Navigating various warehouse conditions (humidity, heights, or vibrations).
We value discipline, efficiency, and a "get it done" attitude. If you are ready to move from being "just a supervisor" to a true operational leader, we want to hear from you.
