About the JobStrong Warehouse Manager who excels in leading people, driving operational discipline and ensures flawless material flow in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do Lead and Develop Teams- Directly manage warehouse team leads, forklift operators, and material handlers (~20-30) employees), building a high-performing, safety-first, and values-driven culture.
- Ensure clear communication, training, and coaching to support engagement, accountability, and adherence to SOPs, GMP, and safety standards.
- Promote a team-based approach to problem solving, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage the timely delivery and return of raw materials and packaging between warehouse and production/compounding areas.
- Ensure material availability meets production schedules without compromising inventory accuracy or safety.
- Troubleshoot material movement issues, working closely with operations leadership and compounding supervisors.
- Oversee the execution of all warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, material staging, returns, scanning, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with all scanning and forklift operations, including proper use of equipment, location accuracy, and real-time inventory transactions.
- Maintain a strong floor presence to observe, support, and audit processes.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are compliant with GMP, SQF, OSHA, AIB, and internal safety protocols.
- Regularly audit processes, coach to standards, and implement improvements in layout, flow, and system usage.
- Oversee Finished Goods movement to off-site Distribution Centers, ensuring real-time accuracy, scanning compliance, and timely documentation.
- Yard Inventory movement management, ensure the right materials are in the facility and staged.
- Direct management of 20-30 hourly employees through team leads and 2-3 supervisors.
- Lead performance management, staffing decisions, and workforce development.
- Drive employee engagement, inclusion, and culture in alignment with GSF’s values.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, food science, or related field.
- 7+ years in warehouse operations with 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in food manufacturing, multi-temperature environments, and union or high-volume operations preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong people management and coaching capabilities.
- Expert knowledge of forklift operations, scanning technologies, and inventory control systems.
- Familiarity with D365, SAP, AS400, or similar warehouse management systems.
- Proven success managing warehouse-to-production material flow.
- Ability to drive performance and accountability on the floor.
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, HACCP, GMP).
