Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is planning and creating manufacturing processes within an industrial setting. The Engineer may enhance production methods, assess manufacturing capacity, and establish production timetables. The employee will assist in the design, production, modification, and assessment of manufacturing procedures such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding, brazing, assembly, and material handling.
Responsibilities- Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing techniques.
- Analyze and strategize workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and devise equipment and workspace layout for optimal efficiency.
- Execute manufacturing processes such as concrete molding, plastic injection molding, plastic extrusion, plastic thermoforming, plastic recycling, and chemical blending.
- Collaborate with planning and design teams on product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Consult with vendors to determine product specifications, coordinate equipment, material, or part purchases, and evaluate products based on standards and specifications.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and associated costs for managerial decision-making.
- Engage with management, engineering, and other staff to discuss manufacturing capabilities, production timetables, and other factors to streamline production processes.
- Build rapport with frontline team members and actively seek opportunities to improve operations and processes.
- Offer technical guidance and support the training of less experienced engineers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5–7 years of experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, 2D CAD, and solid modeling.
- Proficiency in internet research skills.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced and high‑volume work environment.
- Proactive self‑starter with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with employees at all levels, including executive leadership and customers.

This position works in a manufacturing work setting. The environment may expose employees to seasonal temperatures of excessive cold or heat. Work is often loud, dusty, and/or dirty due to the materials required for production.
