Instrumentation & Controls Technician

Job Description

An industrial manufacturing facility is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support day-shift operations through hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and system support. This role is ideal for technicians with strong electrical fundamentals who enjoy working with motors, controls, and process equipment in a modern, safety-focused environment. Entry-level candidates with solid electrical aptitude will be considered.

• Location: Conyers, GA 30013
• Pay: $30-$39 per hour ($62,000-$80,000 annually, paid hourly)
• Term: Direct hire
• Shift: Day shift | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Overtime: Available some weeks

Role Overview:

• Support electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot and maintain motors, valves, drives, and control systems
• Partner closely with maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable operations
• Contribute to system upgrades, improvements, and capital projects

Key Job Duties:

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain plant electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Diagnose issues with motors, valves, variable frequency drives, and control systems
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and logic modifications (Control Logix or similar platforms)
• Support PLC, DCS, and drive system maintenance, upgrades, and backups
• Assist with electrical and controls support for capital projects
• Maintain spare parts inventory and system documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent plant issues as needed
